ACCOUTING EXPERT (SSC-GL)
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Lead and assist Latam SSC GL Team to complain Millicom Accounting Policies Control Framework for all the Group Financial Reports entities manage in the Latam SSC.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure proper accounting on multiple legal entities and ledgers.
Lead and assist in the assimilation of additional entities into the Global Services Consolidation.
Lead GL Team to assist in coordinating with the internal auditors regarding overall audit and resolving specific issues which may result (Quarterly and Year-End Audits performed).
Research specific technical accounting issues, lead them to complain with Millicom accounting policies.
Lead and assist in drafting and implementing policies and procedures as needed.
Create processes and coordinate implementation.
Support internal and External audits.
Develop and maintain compliance documentation.
Monitor functions to ensure compliance and measurements vs. SLAs.
Lead monthly summaries review of treasury cycle from transaction processing of activity and interest reconciliation.
Lead and follow internal trading model and prepares analysis of internal trading, oversee all AGIS Intercompany for the LATAm SSC entities.
Lead GL Team with all closing activities areas.
Ensure internal trading accounting calculations are consistent with inter-company models and agreements.
Lead and follow in oversight of General Ledger, Treasury, account reconciliations, consolidations, month end close.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and Oversee special projects within the team as required and assist with any escalation points
Lead the GL team reviewing the accuracy of required balance sheet reconciliations and closing journal entries. Identifies specific issues to the accountants preparing reconciliations. Also required bank
reconciliations and closing journal entries.
Supervises and reviews the preparation of certain analyses supporting horizontal processes and facilitating review of transaction processing
Lead and Provides responses to inquiries of other business units, and internal auditors
Lead and Assist in the preparation and detailed review of internal reports
Establishes and continuously improves the assigned section’s policies and procedures, work processes, and systems
Determines work assignments, schedules, priorities, and employee development for a team
Researches specific technical accounting issues.
Lead the Intercompany Team in the day to day and the monthly functions of the AGIS Latam SSC Global Platform transaction processing.
Supervise that the Intercompany policies and procedures are communicated, established and follow in the properly way.

Proficiency in Oracle including ADI.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical skills, the ability to handle multiple projects at once. Strong communications skills are required.
5 years or more progressive Accounting Experience (experience in Big 4 preferred)Multinational and Multicurrency accounting environment experience a plus.
Strong Excel Skills required.
Bilingual in Spanish, English. Other language knowledge is desirable
